Dry Rub Ribs

Once you go dry rub… you’ll never do wet ribs again!!

I am a northerner, but I went to college in the south. So I have been exposed to some wonderful down home southern cooking so I can be quite a snob when it comes to my ribs.

This recipe is based on the Neely’s Dry Rub Recipe, but I have tweeked it a little and made it my own.

 

My Dry Rub Recipe

2 Tablespoons  Light Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon  Paprika
1  1/4 Teaspoons  Salt
1  1/4 Teaspoons Black Pepper
3/4 Teaspoon Cumin
1/4 Teaspoon-Cayenne Pepper
Mix it all up together with a fork in a small bowl.
Pour it into a gallon size Ziploc bag and add your ribs (I like the boneless kind, but any type works).
Shake the bag around until the ribs are coated with the rub.
Let sit in fridge  for 2 hours  up to overnight.
Throw them on the BBQ for about 30-45 minutes until done.
You’ll never need BBQ Sauce again- these ribs are just that good.
